Is Dr. Dre about to become Hip Hop’s 1st Billionaire? It’s being widely reported that Apple is in negotiations to buy Beats by Dre (the company Dre co-owns with Jimmy Iovine) for a whopping $3.2 billion. Dre’s share of that sale would easily launch him into billionaire status (he’s currently worth $550 million), ahead of Jay-Z and Diddy.
