Kane started his career in 1986 as a member of the rap group the Juice Crew.
The Juice Crew was founded by producer Marley Marl and radio DJ Mr. Magic and housed by Tyrone William’s Cold Chillin’ Records, the Juice Crew introduced New School artists Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Roxanne Shanté and Kool G Rap.
We all remember and love the 1989 hit, “Ain’t No Half-Steppin,” that Rolling Stone magazine ranked #25 on its list of The 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time.
