Kanye West just plead no contest to misdemeanor battery for assaulting photographer Daniel Ramos last July outside of LAX airport. The video of the incident (below) shows Kanye being provoked by the photographer and then proceeding to walk towards him, grab his camera and use it to throw him to the ground. Ironically, just before Kanye attacks the photographer, he loudly accuses him of trying to provoke a situation to get a cash payout from the star ($250,000 to be precise). He then proceeds to go straight for Ramos – perhaps to show that he can afford to throw away a quarter million to deal with pesky paparazzi. The entire incident was of course caught on video.
A judge dropped the felony charges against Kanye in exchange for his no contest plea to misdemeanor battery. He was sentenced to spend 1 day in jail, 2 years probation, 250 hours of community service, and….. 24 private therapy sessions for anger management classes. He will also have to pay an undisclosed amount of restitution to the victim. Although West is sentenced to 1 day in jail, sources say he will most likely be booked and immediately released.
Sources claim that Ramos is the same photographer who infamously provoked Brittany Spears into banging up his car with an umbrella during her breakdown several years ago. Clearly Ramos knows who to get a reaction from the stars….
