The Source is reporting that Mos Def, aka Yasiin Bey has been barred from returning to the US due to immigration/legal issues. Although he’s been living in South Africa, Bey was scheduled to return to the US for tour dates. While it’s still unclear why Bey has been denied entry, promoters for one of his cancelled shows released the following statement:
We regret to inform you that due to immigration / legal issues Yasiin Bey is unable to enter back into the United States and his upcoming U.S. tour has been canceled, including May 15th, Together Boston’s show at The Wilbur Theatre. Individual ticket refunds for this show are available at point of sale.
