The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. is presenting the festival "One Mic: Hip-Hop Culture Worldwide" from March 25 to April 13, 2014. The festival celebrates what it calls a "uniquely American art form" highlighting the five pillars of Hip Hop: emceeing, DJing, B-Boying, Graffiti Art and Knowledge.
A highlight of the festival includes Nas performing "Illmatic" with the National Symphony Orchestra, as well as performances by Lauryn Hill, MC Lyte and Jean Grae.
